Description

This resource highlights the important work of David Ausubel, an American psychologist and psychiatrist best known for his theory of meaningful learning (1968). It is also inspired by Sarah Cottingham’s book Meaningful Learning in Action (2023).

This resource addresses the simple question, ‘What exactly is learning?’  Ausubel’s theory provides an interesting perspective on the learning process, explaining how we connect concepts, rules, and facts to develop a body of knowledge.
