I am deputy head at a large secondary school in Bristol and we have these books on our CPD recommended reading list for staff. We are always hearing from staff how accessible they are and how they have made them stop and think about their own teaching. So thank you!

Ross Morrison McGill

Having blogged on this website since 2008, Bloomsbury asked Ross Morrison McGill to write his first book, 100 Ideas – Outstanding Lessons (2013), selling 20,000+ copies as well as reaching the top-13 of all books on Amazon 3 months after publication. Ross' second book, Teacher Toolkit: helping you survive your first 5 years (2015) is popular with new teachers and was Ross's first bespoke volume of work with artists Jean Jullien and influencer, Polly Nor.

Ross' third book reached international success, and pre-printed copies sold out before the publication date! Today, Mark Plan Teach (2017) has also sold over 25,000 copies across the world and has made Ross, Bloomsbury’s most successful education author, ever! His fourth book, Just Great Teaching, is a 'slow burner' slowly revolutionising how school leaders think and work. Ross's updated copy of Mark Plan Teach 2.o published in January 2021 shares his experiences of sharing MPT 1.0 with 30,000 teachers across the world.

Ross's sixth book title, Guide To Memory was published in June 2022. He claims it is his Best wishes work to date, and if he had learned more about neuroeducation when he was training to be a teacher, his classroom experiences would have been very different!

In 2023, he is editing his 7th book, Guide To Questioning and has already started planning book number 8 with a co-author. In total, this will be Ross's 12 book title, accumulating over 75,000 book sales to date ...
