Last year, I wrote a detailed summary of John Sweller's research on cognitive load theory. This time I want to offer something succinct and practical ...

The original research paper (1988) is 29 pages in length. You can read my attempt at reading the document and trying to come up with a beginners guide for teachers.

It's important to understand that whilst the research has many recommendations teachers can use, its origins stem from science, maths and technology subjects.
