What should we do with the SATs data collected from year 6 pupils?

Little evidence is found the key stage 2 tests in England are associated with lower levels of mental well-being, happiness, self-esteem or school enjoyment amongst its primary pupils (Jerrim, 2021)

It's the season for exams and here in England and every year, there is a discussion on whether primary pupils should sit SATs (Standard Attainment Tests) or not, and if GCSEs are credible and need to be reformed.
