What have been the pros and cons of primary school experiences for our family?

My son moves on to secondary school this September. Born 1lb 9ozs (28+2 weeks) premature, as I write, he sits at our dining table 'revising' for his forthcoming SATs exams ...

The first 5 years

For the first five years of school, he attended a new, all-through school in Barnet, London. His year group were the first pupils to attend the two-form primary school, making it quite a unique school to attend. Over the years, it has grown in popularity and he continues

    Lovely post Ross. Love the photos as well. I have the same feelings as you, now as a proud grandparent, moments we will always cherish.; e.g. the moment when my grandson no longer wants me to hold his hand as we arrive in the playground.

      Yes, I am cherishing the ‘holding hands’ and ‘hello/goodbye kisses’ at the moment; they will disappear until mid-30s I think…
