Are you going to the BETT Show?

This week the TT team will be donning their read t-shirts and attending the BETT show at Excel, London.

This is the third year in a row we’ll be attending BETT and we’re really looking forward to talking to lots of start-up founders, working hard to make their inventions or businesses a reality, playing around with some innovative edtech and listening to some inspiring seminars.

We’ve put together a few things we’re looking forward to and what we recommend you do not miss!

Exciting New Technology

Located in our favourite area – BETT Futures – on stand P2 we are really excited to have a play with this exciting new app. Vocal Recall is a new innovation in teaching technology that allows users to attach audio to pre-printed codes. This can significantly reduce the time teachers spend on marking, to increase the quality of feedback and engage students. Vocal Recall can also be used in many other ways such as language learning, showing reading progress in early years, audio tours, greetings cards and interactive worksheets. How will you use it in your teaching?

Ross Morrison McGill

This year at the BETT show, there are two opportunities to see TT founder Ross McGill speaking! If you’re attending on Thursday, head over to Infomentor at stand B244 at 11:00AM where Ross will be talking about managing workload and improving teacher wellbeing. Then, on Saturday, Ross will be speaking on the DIT Export Theatre at 11.30AM sharing his secrets about how he made Teacher Toolkit such a success.

Start Up Success Stories

Head over to Edukey Education at stand A180 or to Satchel: Show My Homework at stand F130 and support these now internationally successful companies, that were both originally started by an ex-teacher with a great idea and plenty of perseverance and hard work. We’ve followed their journey from the very start …

Women in EdTech

We are also excited to meet and interview women doing wonderful things in the world of edtech or education. We’re hoping to catch up with:

TT readers and teachers

We also want to meet you! Please leave a comment below or tweet us if you’re attending the show as we’d love to meet you! We’ll be running a competition throughout the show and every teacher we meet will be entered. So, make sure you get in touch or stop anyone you see wearing a Teacher Toolkit red t-shirt!
