Edu Tech Show

.

Who is exhibiting?

The show has some fantastic exhibitors, including RM Education, Atomwide and Promethian, as well as other exciting companies offering solutions to schools. There will also be representatives from teaching unions and professional bodies, as well as organisations offering school, outreach and community opportunities – such as the London Connected Learning Centre

So, what else is going on? Well, away from the exhibition hall, the conference is divided into four areas and we have listed them below.

1. The EduTech Demo Stage

At the EduTech Demo Stage exhibitors have 15 minute slots to present their product or service. This is the place to go if you want to get a good overview of the exhibitors before making a beeline for their stands on the arena floor – take a good look at the programme and plan your sessions.

2. The EduTech Start Up Zone

The EduTech Start Up Zone is where the exciting things will be happening. Here, new start-up companies will be exhibiting:

  • Peapodicity – A “creative-EdTech studio passionate about STEM and STEAM”
  • Tech Camp – The UK’s original and longest-running coding and engineering camp for students aged 9-17
  • Scribeasy – A cloud based workflow where students who struggle with writing discover they can achieve
3. Seminars

There are 30 minute seminars going on throughout the two days of the show, including Q&As with leading speakers and classroom practitioners. All computing themes are covered, but the ones to look out for are A Computer for Every Child: Why 1:1 Matters; Re-Thought Schooling and The Impact of Sprogs With Blogs. On the Saturday, look out for Progression, Projects and Problem Solving. Computing from 4 to 18 and Digital wellbeing.

4. Master classes

Practical and hands-on 20 minute master classes will be taking place with leaders in their field, so expect something fast, furious and tinspirational. Both days hold something for everyone! Our picks include:

  • Friday: head for the session by Martin Bailey from Animate 2 educate, Julian Wood, who will be exploring AR and VR, and David Kirtlan from Elsium Education, who will be giving tips on starting your own iPad Band!
  • Saturday: watch the entertaining Doughall McCormick and his “20 cool tools for learning” kicking things off, and finishing Stuart Swann’s “Green Screen Magic”.
